Frequently Asked Questions

How are the beef cuts shipped?

The beef cuts are individually vacuum-sealed (except for patties and cutlets, which come in packs of six and four respectively), and are shipped in a thermal-lined box with an appropriate number of ice packs.

Our cuts need to arrive within 1-2 days from shipping (especially during the 6 hottest months of the year), so we encourage you to consider this timing when selecting your UPS shipping option. If you live south of I-20 in Texas, UPS Ground Shipping will arrive within two days. Others should consider one of the air shipping options.

Any tips for creating a good order?

All cuts are shipped in a 12”x12”x12” box, so filling that box to its maximum will help make the shipping cost most efficient. We hope you will chose between 12-15lbs of beef to include in your order to maximize your shipment.

Can I make custom requests for cuts?

Yes! We have the ability to adjust our requested cuts each time we harvest an animal with our local butcher shop. We may not be able to provide immediately, but can definitely work with you to get you what you need. Simply email us at order@raisingemrightbeef.com to start the process.

What is the usual turnaround time for an order?

We will respond to confirm orders seven days a week. To ensure your shipment is not delayed or held up by weekend delivery service delays, we will only ship out boxes Monday-Wednesday each week. After we confirm your order, we will send another email once your box ships.

How long is my beef good for?

Frozen beef will be safe to eat indefinitely. But to retain the best flavor, begin to thaw our high quality steaks, roasts or ribs within 4 to 12 months of freezing, and ground beef within 4 months of freezing. After cuts are placed in the refrigerator, ground beef should be used within 1-2 days while steaks, roasts, etc can be used within 3-5 days.

Does your beef have added hormones?

No, our cattle’s diets are carefully balanced to obtain optimal flavor while remaining all-natural and healthy for the animal. This renders organic meat that is healthy for you and their upbringing is regenerative for the land.

Do you have a storefront?

We have a location on Hwy 59 just west of Beeville, TX that is open Monday-Friday 8:30a-5:30p. If you order steaks online, there is a “Local Pick-up” option in the shipping options. Or you can come by during our open hours to place and pick-up your local beef without submitting anything online.

Is your beef grass-fed?

Our cattle are born, raised, and fed here on our ranch. In addition to great pastures they are fed corn, hay and cotton seed grown here, on our family farm, by us. These supplements to their consistent diet of grass creates the amazing flavor and marbling that puts our beef for sale a cut above the rest.

Does your beef have a USDA classification?

All our beef is approved by a USDA inspector, but there are additional industry bureaucracies in place for actually grading the meat as USDA Prime, Select, etc. Using an independent, local meat processor prevents us from having access to these levels of classification. The lack of grade has nothing to do with quality in our beef, but rather the lack of additional third parties involved and the nuance of receiving beef directly to your table.
